Probably one of the easiest H.O.P. (Hands Off Parent) activities is washable paint. Toss them outside, strap them in a highchair (to this day, Aria pleads to sit in the highchair lol), or just prep an area on the floor with a large enough ‘canvas’ and let them go ham. If you know me, I love to paint. The girls are no different. Here are some of my favorite painting products.
Smocks – for the money, these are bomb.com $7.99 for two full coverage smocks. Another option is the dollar store usual has aprons in the toy section or garden section that we have used for years.
16 pcs brush kit – these were so fun! I built up the ‘flower wands’ mostly because I couldn’t wait to use them but they were so fun to use. Of course Aria had to paint her lion… the girl is obsessed with cats and only does something unless it is cat related
Canvas – We have a 11×17 canvas that Aria started painting 5 years ago during her toddler phase. Mila has been continuously adding to it. For this I generally use acrylic paints in the high chair but it does keep them busy. This link is to a 12 pack of 6×6 canvas boards. I am pretty sure I paid more for the single 11×17 at Joann’s
